I see a real fit for Strme in Montréal, but I really think the Hawks look at a Strome for Armia swap. Similar contracts, and Armia has term.

Be a wonderful addition on their 3rd line.... and makes more sense the Lehkonen.

As for a more mobile blueline......

I have been beating that drum for 3 years. It's a blueline that can insulate Price (like he needs it lol) and Allen, but outside if Petry (maybe Romanov, too early for me to really comment), cannot drive offensively.....

Bergevin has drafted players that solve that issue, but how far away are they? Guile looked good at camp, Norlinder as well. But being a proponent of proper AHL marinating, a stop gap maybe needed.

Armia doesn't make sense for Edmonton, can't take that cap hit unless you want Kassian coming back the other way. And considering Kassian's brief time with the Habs, I would suspect Bergevin isn't interested.

I like it. I would consider swapping Guhle and Norlinder, as Norlinder actually plays on the right side and Guhle is dominant on the left. While I think Harris may need some seasoning in the AHL, he may not sign if they tell him that. Drafting NCAA kids can be tough : I hope that, during the next CBA negotiation, teams actually get some level of protection from just loosing their drafted NCAA players. It's always kind of unnerving there. Teams (and not just Montreal) are left in a difficult spot of having to consider dealing them for pennys on the dollar if they feel as though the player won't sign.

i think harris signs with mtl. its not like he's a stud coming out of college. i dont see any indication of the habs mistreating him. i wanted guhle with edmundson because of the size factor. both are big boys. norlinder may take some time to adjust to the north american game.

im fine with an armia for strome swap. he has drafted the players, but he also signs these free agents like chiarot and savard who are just big bois who can clear the puck in front of the net. but with this new push for slashing rules, i think these d-men are out of date. now its all about skill and puck movement for D. skate with the puck out of the zone instead of dumping it in.
