I like Thoedore, but what else is a part of the deal? Please read comments and if you're going to reply, add something constructive please.. "Vegas passes" "Vegas isn't trading for an injured player" literally add nothing to the conversation. Thanks! :)

* Sabres had about $10 mill in cap space before I removed all the expiring pieces and added futures.
** Lineup is a loose organization depth chart going forward/some lines that make sense
*** Scratches are UFAs after this season I'm not sold on /wouldn't be opposed to bringing back next year depending how this year plays out
**** Theodore can play the right side and Dahlin played there his whole life. I dont think its an issue to move one or both to that side in the future

  1. Dugan, Jack
  2. Theodore, Shea
  3. Tuch, Alex
  4. 2022 3rd round pick (NYR)
Additional Details:
Theodore would be a great piece in an Eichel trade, but what else do you add? Krebs and Hague are "untouchable". Tuch does it for me personally, would VGK rather give up Brisson or Dorofeyev + a pick?

(Also going to add Smith getting flipped and retained for Strome in NYR)
VGK
  1. Eichel, Jack
  2. 2023 2nd round pick (PHI)
2.
3.
BUF
  1. Strome, Ryan
  2. 2022 4th round pick (WPG)
NYR
  1. Smith, Reilly ($2,500,000 retained)
4.
BUF
VGK
  1. Strome, Ryan ($2,250,000 retained)
Additional Details:
The Smith/Strome swap doesn't need to happen, just makes sense. Rangers fans I know wanted him this offseason, and Strome can be a stop gap/insurance for Jack and then move him to the wing once he's back after the Olympics. Also frees up $2.75 mill in cap for additional moves

The Rangers are retaining salary and adding a pick to lose their 2C?

If I’m Buffalo, I’d ask for Brisson over Dugan.
And if I’m Vegas, I’d want any picks tied to Eichel playing full season next year.

Yeah if we are giving up Theo I have zero interest in moving Tuch. Theo, Dugan and picks. I’ve rationalized that moving Theo is ok, but not much more.

Edit ESPECIALLY Since you have Smith too. Lol. We’re trying to win a cup if we are moving Theo for Eichel, we already can barely score.

No, Buffalo is. I think I did this right.. they're getting Smith at 2.5mill for Strome.
RE the pick - I was thinking Buffalo should get something for taking on both salaries, but it doesn't have to come from NY.

Ranger fan friends of mine were interested in this swap in the offseason directly with Vegas. Not the center point of this post l but I just think its an interesting way for Vegas to hedge their Eichel bet.

That's fair. Adding Tuch the net cap move is basically 0 for the entire contract, and the Vegas cupboards are super thin so giving up a couple 1sts is a lot.

They're getting Strome in exchange for Smith. Gives them a Center until Jack is back, and Strome can play on the wing once he's back. Scoring will be fine once everyone is healthy, it's just a matter of staying in playoff position until then
