Description
Did this mostly for fun/fantasy. I may have gone a little overboard. o_O
Anything not on the roster can be added to make it work. I forgot to enter all of the details, like getting Petry to waive or sending a 2nd to Vegas for taking Plekanec, but no explanation should be necessary.

That's kind of like Tavares for Pacioretty. So in my opinion, Pacioretty is no John Tavares. In my opinion, that's not enough for JT

I think more would be possible with an extension in place (sign and trade). Could get an 8 year contract that way as well.
2019 - 2nd, 2018+19 - 3rd, Lindgren, Davidson, and others are possibilities. I'm trying to avoid dipping into 2020, and mark that year as when to start seriously rebuilding the prospect pool.
However, let's not forget that Pacioretty is 4th among active players in goals scored since 2011/12. Ahead of players like Kane, Perry, Seguin, Malkin, and even Tavares himself.

Similar to Radulov. Bring him over for a year and see if he's worth locking up long term. It might not take that much, but I put a higher number to "entice" him into returning to NA.
Money isn't the main issue, it's whether he can be an effective top 4 D in the NHL. He's already playing top pairing in the SHL, with 20 points in 25 games (12 goals).

I think he is still an AHL'er at best. If he was able to be top 4, he'd be in MTL already. He's playing in SHL and that really is a good indicator of NHL output. Unless he was 18 playing over there.

Plus scoring wasn't his problem, defense was.

Regardless, If you really wanted him fine. It ain't going to take no 5M to get him. He'd come for less than 1M...........Outside of the NHL, Radulov was one of the consensus best players in the world at the time. That's the reason he got 5.75M. Nygren is a veritable nobody.
