Description
Defense is completely revamped and improved and forward lines are set as chemistry builds, lots of young guys competing for spots everywhere with Nogier/Stanley/hopefully Heiskanen coming up in defense and a good batch of forward prospects too. Don't resign Stuart, Halak or Trouba and there will be money when contracts are needed. Goaltending will be better with a non-AHL defense in front so a 1a/1b situation should be fine and if someone steps up then give them the gig.

WPG
  1. Ekman-Larsson, Oliver
Additional Details:
Arizona get 2 an experienced, offensive d man in Buff who helps them hit cap floor until kids need contracts instead of holding contracts for guys like Datsyuk and Pronger this actually helps them compete while kids develop. Get young, proven d man in Trouba who is 3 years younger than OEL, they now have sick right side d. Also get gritty young guy in Dano who won't cost as much as Strome or Keller and will be a great bottom six threat and also a pick.
ARI
  1. Byfuglien, Dustin
  2. Dano, Marko
  3. Trouba, Jacob
  4. 2018 6th round pick (WPG)
Additional Details:
This requires Buff to waive his NMC but apparently there is some beef between him and Wheeler so he might want to leave who knows? We lose a big contract in Buff and Trouba doesn't want to play here anyway so move him and Dano is expendable.
2.
WPG
  1. Vatanen, Sami
Additional Details:
Ducks get elite offensive Dynamo propect which they lack and get out of expansion protection mess.

Nice to dream but cmon...Ducks and NYI reject those deals....quickly. If Ducks trade anyone on D it's Fowler who will be on the last year of his contract and it would take more than just Conner. NYI had multiple teams interested in Halak at the deadline and they wanted more than what was offered. You expect them to throw in a pick and take a lesser goalie? For what. A couple mil in cap relief? Please. Sounds like they already have a deal in place with Vegas to have him picked in the expansion draft. The Zona trade is not good for the Jets. And while I agree it makes Zona better, the contracts like Datsuyk and Pronger makes sense for Zona. Gets them to the floor without having to actually pay them. For a team that loses $$ it's a win win.

as a Jets fan I'm glad you're not in charge because that is a DRASTIC overpayment for OEL. I disagree with the above comment. If the ducks could land Kyle Connor and solve their expansion issue (connor is exempt) it actually might make a lot of sense for them especially if Connor ends up being as good as his potential is showing. NYI might make that deal in a weak goalie market to shed some money and either bring in help/a reason for J.T. to stay in NYI so that deal is decent.

This is how I know you are not a Ducks fan.

Rumors have Vatanen being shipped out. We have Montour to take his spot and he has showed he can play with the big boys as well. Fowler won't be getting traded any time soon.

Doubt that Murray ships out Vatanen without knowing what Fowler's going to do, Fowler could easily command around 7 years $49 million similar to what Shattenkirk will probably recieve would Murray give Fowler that much. Fowler works out with a lot of the Red Wing players in the summer and there's some rumblings that he might want to come home especially going into the new arena we shall see.

I think you are drastically overlooking Kyle Connor. What he is doing in the AHL this year is super impressive. He is going to be the real deal
