Description
I see a lot of people trading these players and expecting value back... It's not happening, we're going to have to give up assets to move them. Here's what I think it would cost.
Trades
1.
VAN
ARI
  1. Myers, Tyler
  2. 2022 1st round pick (VAN)
Additional Details:
Not a lottery pick but a mid 20s pick... Myers contract is bad, maybe you get away with less by retaining half but that's not very useful.
2.
VAN
ARI
  1. Pearson, Tanner
  2. 2023 3rd round pick (VAN)
  3. 2023 4th round pick (VAN)
Additional Details:
Honestly maybe even a second or a different cap dump coming back.
3.
VAN
ARI
  1. Hamonic, Travis
  2. 2022 3rd round pick (WPG)
Additional Details:
Hamonic trades in general are dumb because he has an NTC and has been very clear about wanting to stay in Western Canada.

No one wants a 3rd pair d-man at 3mil. He passed through waivers already. Yes, it was partially due to his vax status but if he was good teams wouldn't have cared.
4.
VAN
  1. 2022 4th round pick (ARI)
ARI
  1. Poolman, Tucker ($1,000,000 retained)
Additional Details:
Poolman is probably the only one with value today but 4 years is tough... Maybe you get something of you retain a mil as then his contract is almost all buriable

Also OEL just because he is playing better than last year doesn't mean he his holding up to the value of his deal he is still a dump just not nearly as bad.

Also man I think you're underselling how bad myers is. He still has 3 years left on his deal and genuinely might be the worst player in the league even at the league minimum I think the most they would be able to fetch for him is a 5th.

Yeah I didn't include OEL because he's weird to value and also I see less people trying to trade him.

I don't Myers is THAT bad but I do have it costing us a first to move him which I think it's pretty fair w

The problem with these players is more the usage ( and contract) than the player, all are playing higher in the lineup than they should in Vancouver. In the final year of his contract Myers is easily traded after the signing bonus is paid (and I am not a Myers fan at all). Pearson for sure has value. He plays the right way and is quite consistent. Coaches love his type of player. Maybe some retention if traded before the final year, depending on the return, but not negative value. My point is all are tradeable given the right circumstances.....yes even OEL.
