The problem with the Oilers is the goals for/against differential in the bottom six. You have done nothing to address this.

No interest in Yamamoto or Lavoie. Not so much in Koskinen or Lagesson but they are smaller pieces and make sense for cap reasons.

Yamamoto: small winger. We have enough of those. No need for more
Lavoie: i think he’s a bust. I saw him a ton in Halifax. He has this deer in the headlights look to him when he plays. He can put up points against weaker competition in the Q, but I reallly don’t see it translating to the NHL. Even at world juniors, he was incredibly underwhelming. All this to say, no interest.

Potential solution would be to keep Kailer and Lavoie, but reduce the retention on Price from 5.5M to 2M. Might need to adjust again for cap reasons.

Price (2M retained) + Chiarot (1.5M retained) + Armia for Koskinen + Lagesson + 2 first round picks. I think Edmonton needs to add a bit but the skeleton of a trade is there

Price is a cap dump even with 50% retained. This is HORRIBLE for Edmonton both this year and long-term.

Seattle didn't take Price for free when they had $81.5M in cap space, and you think retaining $2M makes him valuable to a team with zero cap space?

Wow are Habs fans clueless.

Lol. In the playoffs last year, everyone said if it were not for Price, we would have been out in the first round. Now he’s useless…..?

Secondly, Seattle and Edmonton are in much different positions. One was looking for as much cap flexibility as possible (Seattle) whereas Edmonton is competing for a cup and have below average goaltending.

Your analogy is wrong.
