Very lopsided but the cap will be a real struggle next year and no forward depth issues were addressed

In this hypothetical we can probably afford to trade Kylington to dump Lucic, find a taker for Monahan, and we should have enough money to resign Gaudreau/Tkachuk/Mangiapane with a little extra cap room, plus Pitlick can just go lol

Dumping Lucic should not cost more than a 2nd a maximum after his final signing bonus.

Your hypothetical is a little confusing to me as it also fails to address the forward depth issues, in fact makes them much more prominent. Without any moves Calgary should be able to sign their RFA's just fine next year. 5.5 for Mange, 8-8.5 for Gaudreau, 8.5-9 for Tkachuk, and 3 for Kylington
