Description

At the deadline the cap hit will roughly work out, with a few corresponding taxi squad and waiver moves. The price is not amazing for Philly but not nothing, as Giroux controls his own fate. For the Flames, this fixes a lot of issues. For Philly, a first and an NHL ready prospect who can play during the upcoming rebuild and is young enough to still be there when it's time to start competing.

Couple things
1. Giroux would probably play with Monahan and Dube
2. Resign conditions are illegal
3. Gawdin being 24 probably means he wont be the prospect going back

Not really close at all IMO.

Gawdin doesnt have tons of value as a 24 yr old prospect. If its a late 1st in a reported rather meh draft, its probably also a 2nd rounder and top 4 prospect in the system.
