Nate, i see you comment on multiple of my posts and you're not stupid. Help me understand why the hell the Flyers signed Neuvirth and i see all the Flyers threads trading him away for a bag of pucks.

It appears that Hexy was kind of forced to sign Neuvirth since Mase wants a long-term deal with money and we have to expose a goalie under contract. Stolarz is the guy we are protecting in the expansion so Neuvirth is left exposed. A lot of people think Vegas takes Neuvirth and that Hexy has a deal in place already with the GM form Vegas who drafted Neuvirth or spent a lot of time with him in Washington. I don't think that happens personally, but when I was going through my mock draft I really like a prospect in the range that EDM picks so I figured Neuvirth was worth it and that we could find another goalie in free agency that is equal. Go to the link in the description to see the article I wrote on BSH about it - it explains it in more detail.

I just checked that out. To be honest, with all the goalies that are going to be available in FA it doesn't make sense still for that Neuvirth trade. You can obtain a better back up most likely in FA then to trade a bag a pucks for a team that is trying to dumb Neuvirth. From what i read on your article is that no one likes him.

It's a mixed bag. Honestly he is a good backup, but at this point he is slated to be the starter and nobody is happy about that. Hexy said he is going to get a goalie in FA so Neuvirth is either for sure getting moved somewhere or he is going to be a backup or waived - which is why people think Vegas is taking him. Yeah you might be able to get a better backup, but is there much difference, and what backups are going to sign less than $2.5M? Most backups are still looking for $3-4M in some cases.
