Description
Team needs:
Defensive Dman to play either 2LD or 3LD
Forward Depth (still...)
Free Up Cap Space
Starting Goalie

De Haan trade reasoning: Oilers get a dman who can contribute both offensively and defensively with good penalty numbers (pretty much just penalties taken +/-) in a 2nd pair sample size with Chicago. The Hawks get a replacement dman (Koekkoek) back for a 2nd go around with the team along with a solid goal scoring prospect in Raphael Lavoie and another 3rd round draft pick.

Stenlund trade reasoning: Oilers get a forward who has been a solid defensive contributor during his NHL time with the Blue Jackets with a mid-round draft pick. Jackets get a point scoring defenseman who could play on a powerplay unit and contribute points.

Lindgren trade reasoning: Oilers grab a goalie who has played great in the 5 games he's played so far this season (+4.82 GSAx per Evolving Hockey) and also has had a positive GSAx every year in his career (besides 19-20 where he had -0.9 GSAx in 6 games) and a mid-round draft pick to add a bit of value for acquiring Foegele. Blues get a foegele who isn't playing too great this year (could be that he doesn't really fit well on some of the lines that he's been put on, or could just be because of the system change from CAR to EDM). He's been a pretty good offensive play driver in the past and could be a solid pick-up for a team that has a decent-ish coaching staff.

The Blues have no cap for that, no need for that and they are not going to be helping any potential playoff matchup teams anyway. Pass.

I think oilers are loosing in every one of those trades by a wide margin.

I understand your reasoning for wanting Lindgren. But unfortunately he's coming to the Oilers......then doesn't he just turn into Koshiken, Smith or Skinner?

Da Haan would be a good pickup for the Oilers but the rest of those trades aren't very good for Edmonton.

I disagree. Barrie likely has little value to teams considering the fact that some teams have used more of an analytical approach recently. I also feel like he isn't good enough offensively at even strength to make up for his terrible defense. Warren Foegele's been nothing special here at all, we could call up a guy like marody and easily get similar/better results.
