So the values here are all appr. I didnt fret it too much, OTT has the picks and prospects that these ballparks should be massage-able to get them to work.

Eg, Fiala Trade. Guys worth 1st+++ we all know that, OTT could get it done without removing anything on the below roster I believe. Draft capital weight or adding some of the pieces ive left below in the "Scratches" would be available

This isnt me saying this is what OTT **SHOULD** do, but this is just the fact that OTT is in a very flexible position, that they COULD go into 2022/2023 looking like a dangerous team

So with the Fiala deal. Do you think Melnyk will pony up 7 mil with term? This is my one hesitation about sending him to OTT.

Minnesota isn't trading a 2nd round pick for Chris Tierney. Stanford won't play in Minnesota. Tierney is worth a 4th round pick. Fiala isn't signing with ottowa much less for that little. But if fiala is traded, it will be in offseason

I honestly don't think they would even have to give that much for Fiala given the all the contract stuff going on

I don't trust Melynk as far as I can spit, but he's put the money up so far. Tkachuk, Chabot, Batherson, White and Murray (though to less success). At the very least Melnyk seems to understand that the team needs to be good to be valuable, and to do that you need good players.

That said, personally I'm not tremendously interested in Fiala specifically.

I also don’t think it would cost that much to get him either, but I’d take it.
