I don't think the Bruins need Copp at all. They need a 2C..... badly. They maybe looking for secondary scoring, just don't see that fit.

I also don't see the Kings adding a rental. If Balke adds, it is going to be someone with term. Makes no sense at all for the Kings to move futures for a rental at this stage.

In the case of both players, the Jets can retain salary, increasing the return, and opening up the market for them more.

Example: Copp at 50% retained would likely interest the Flames. If the rumours are true.....

Statsny at 50% retained should have almost every contender kicking a tire.

Kings are n't interested in rentals in general and certainly don't need a center with the way Philip Danault has panned out.

Instead of Stastny i would put Schmidt. Also we don't need Madden. Replace him with a 3rd round pick.

Also I would like the Copp trade if we didnt add Studnicka.

EDIT: I 100% agree with you that we need Jiricek or Nemec. Both two-way, and true No. 1 right-shot defenseman.

I could also see a trade like this:

Rangers get: Copp
Jets get: Kravstov and a 2023 2nd round pick
