So how about a 3rd round, Holl and Dermott and Ottawa flips one or both of them for additional picks or prospects. Someone will want Holl.

Sens aren't trying to be a development factory for other teams. What good are a smattering of mid to late round picks if you never convert to being actually good because you keep sending good players out the door?

Zub gives Ottawa quality defensive hockey for North of 20 minutes a night. He's their only established RHD who is any good. He's 26, so he lines up perfectly with the Sens competitive window. The Sens aren't trading Zub, it makes no sense at all, because they aren't replacing what he gives them without a massive price attached, if they can get it at all. Players like Zub are hard to find for a reason, and Ottawa isn't gonna just give him up. He's their most important Dman after Chabot and Sanderson.

The Leafs are under the cap this year, that isn't a problem. Not saying any of those trades go through....but if they did, how to pay for Reilly 2.5m raise and all those RFAs?
