Yep. The Sharks are going over the cap for Scuds. I'm sure somewhere they can get a adequate Dman for less than 3.375m a year for 2 years.

Well scuds obviously wasn't the focus of the trade but there could easily be 500,000 retained by Pittsburg to make it more feasible.

I think hockeypress sometimes is a guy sitting there trying to figure ways to get traffic to his site. I believe it was scuds to colorado a couple of days ago.

I'm not a huge fan of the deal. I like Clendening and think he may make the team next season and I'm not a fan of acquiring Brown. He is kinda a bum, but if that's all we can do to get Scuds off the roster then so be it.

Yea I don't think you're going to be a fan of any deal that gets Scuderi out of Pittsburg. I'm not a huge fan of this trade either because of the cap trouble we will have to face next season but I think it's close to an even trade and I would be ok with it. Next season we would just have to trade one of Braun or Dillon to resign clendening, nieto and hertl and then hope that clendening is ready to take the open spot. We are probably better off keeping the roster as it is though
