Description

Chad Ruhwedel might be one of the most underrated and overlooked 3rd pairing dman in the NHL. It might be weird to make a big deal over a 3rd pairing dmen, but having a strong 3rd pair can separate you from the pack.

Why does he get no love?
- Undrafted
- Not Flashy
- Doesn't score
- Struggled to stay in lineups because of the above reasons.
- Did a player compare on natural stat trick of some of my favorite overvalued dmen like Chiarot, Holl and Poolman and it's embarrassing how much better his underlying stats are than those guys.

Officially re-signed today to a Two Year/$800K one-way contract. HUGE STEAL.

Stop sending us Holl and Poolman, please. We have our guy.

But yeah, I can imagine what that's like. I forgot to add Colin Miller to the list. Sabres fans keep sending him to us and he also doesn't hold a candle to Ruhwedel. Yeah, he puts up some decent points, but he's trash at everything else.
