Major Note: RHD are at a premium in the NHL so I think that makes drafting Nemec an even smarter decision to help out long term. Signing a couple vets like Braun and Pysyk will help hold down the fort until he is ready

the downside To buffalo trying to sign UFA's is there is no appeal to the team so they would have to basically over pay players and all honestly id rather sign a cheaper deal and be on a contending team rather then be on a bottom team making the most ill get in my career

I’d give Tage Thompson some consideration for captain. He’s the model player for never counting someone out and he’s exerted leadership qualities since the season began

Rather than giving up a 1st for Vanecek, when we have all the cap space in the world, I would just get Husso for 2-3 years at whatever price it costs (5 or less I'd imagine).

I would also not trade a first round pick for a goalie, especially considering this team is hell bent on giving UPL every opportunity to be the number one, and Devon Levi is literally a year or two away.

I would dive into free agency, sign Pavel Francouz and then use them as a tandem next year and try to sign Anderson as the number three to mentor UPL

Do not trade a 1st for a goalie and a scratch
