Description

First off is LA making a cup push this year? Or going as far as the current team can take them and continuing the rebuild for future playoff stability?

And with byfield and turcotte up and coming would LAK be willing to trade Vilardi? Obviously it’s not going to be for a playoff rental but maybe another young player they can work into their rebuild plan? (Guessing D-man would be highest priority) or is he completely untouchable?

Let me know your thoughts and if you think he’s available what’s his return value and also while we’re at it what’s LAK future needs? Their a young team that needs a few more pieces and should be playoff bound for years to come

Ya I’m honestly not sure his worth, why I asked the question, but this doesn’t seem far fetched at all. I would think LA would be wanting LHD over a RHD though but I’m not sure ( just with doughty and Roy locked up for 3+ years) I’m also guessing a younger nhl ready or close to ready top 6 winger could be a target also

No rush on moving Vilardi just yet. However, the kings would package him for two types of players with term. Established top-pair LD or a legit top line winger. So they would do it if they could get a Chychrun type player but, prospect for prospect, I don’t see that.

Echoing my friend @tryger, this is Adrian Kempe's fifth full season in the NHL and he's only now rounding into a high-quality, two-way player eminently qualified for the first line, so we're not going to rush to judgment on Gabe Vilardi, whose career has been somewhat delayed by other factors.
