Description
I expect Sweeney to have a light deadline day. Move JD, get some defensive depth on the right side, and maybe a center who can potentially be a better fit on 2C than Haula

So debrusk turns a corner, starts playing really well and scoring…so ditch him for kapanen.

Then pick up stralman to push vaakanainen out of the lineup? Just doesn’t make much sense to me. Seems like these are lateral at best.

I like the Kap-JD trade. I really like JD , and I think he’s a better player honestly ( and people can cry saying he’s better and playing better right now) but if he wants out then this is one of the best options, we could use potential top 6 RW so this makes sense.

As far as stralman, I’m not sold, cost of acquisition and versatility are great, size and grit (sween rumored searching for) not so much, so viable depth piece to replace Clifton for sure ( little pricey IMO) but may require another LD trade for the grit factor (or find a gritty forward for energy line)

All in all realistic options and wouldn’t make the team worse that’s for sure. And don’t listen to some, they want to acquire 1 LD and depth 3RD and then cry when someone does saying that Urho gets pushed out, obviously he’s going to get pushed out, even if there’s a LD in LD out scenario he probably still gets punched out for playoffs. It’s business, not saying it’s right but most likely happens in either scenario
