Description
The Flames being contenders could use an upgrade on center and will likely need to move Monahan deal in the summer anyways to make the signings, so why not make an upgrade now. I think this Calgary best chance in a long time to go for it.

Why would Monahan waive for Arizona? And Tomas Hertl gets a way better offer then that. Sharks easily decline as does Monahan.

Uh no, that is a major overpay for a rental. You need to look up Wolf if you disagree

Why would SJ even consider that? The conversation for Hertl starts with Pelletier and a 1st.

Decent numbers, But it still stands that San Jose isn't moving Hertl for a goalie prospect and 2nd and 3rd round pick.

Decent? He's 20, the last goalies to put up his numbers in their D+3 year were Murray, Saros, Hellebuyck, M. Subban, and Gibson. Even Vasilevskiy didn't have those numbers until his D+4 season. In 14/15 would you have traded Vasey for the last year of David Krejci's contract?
