Description
The more I think about it, the more I think that it’s likely the leafs go and get Chychrun. Dubas wants a defenseman, but he doesn’t want to give up top prospects for rentals. And on top of this, he seems to like dealing with Arizona now. Chychrun seems like a great fit. Long term, the left side would be clogged up though. Personally, it makes sense that Rasmus Sandin would be included in a Chychrun deal. The coyotes would probably really want him if they are giving up Chychrun, so it seems like a fit. Another potential option is Arizona boy Matthews Knies, who I assume Arizona would also want, but he probably has less value than Sandin. To be clear, I am not interested in trading Sandin in general. But Chychrun is probably the only player on the trade market that I would be willing to trade Sandin for. Let me know what you think of this trade. By the way this is assuming Muzz is out the rest of the season.

I am fully expecting leafs fans to hate this from the leafs perspective, and non leafs fans to hate this from the Arizona perspective lol.

The more I think about it, the more it's so silly for the Leafs to acquire Chychrum. First there is no cap for him, this year and especially next year.
Leafs shouldn't be trading their second best LHD Sandin and their third best Dman just to obtain a second pairing LHD.
Leafs are have good and LHD (and LWers)....seems like an unnecessary obsession to obtain another

Sandin isn’t a second pairing guy right now. He’s better suited for the 3rd pairing. Chychrun is a very good second pairing option, and he’s still young. He would be worth giving up Sandin I think. But thanks for your feedback.

Chychrun is a top pair defensemen.

add a 2nd and swap engvall for robertson. yotes add 3rd instead of a 4th.

I don’t see the leafs parting with 2 top prospects/ young players. I don’t see how it would take as much as you’ve offered here but if it does I’m out.
