That isn't a bad trade for Florida, but I wonder if it's a bit too early to trade Spencer Knight. He has two years left on his deal, but is restricted, so they have control beyond that. Personally I think they wait 2 or 3 years and then trade Bob.

the idea that no one was biting on a 3rd for Kessel with full retention was crazy to me! he's got 35 points in 57 games this year, he plays hard every day (the damn iron man streak!!) and he has a ton of playoff experience. His shooting is 5.1% this year, less than half his career mark (10.9%) so a smart team is going to give up a package like that for him and with some positive regression, they'll get a steal.
