Description
Used Lebrun’s latest article as reference for possible landing spots. Rakell wasn’t mentioned and PIT may not be the best suitor but he’ll get moved and hoped it’s for a 1st this year.

Also this is what I think Comtois’ rumored availability is. He’s been offered in a Chychrun deal. I doubt he’s available for anything less than being the young NHLer in a year for a top player.

I feel like there will be a team that would be willing to trade a 1st for Rakell. He’s still a sniper that plenty of teams would be wanting

I would do this Canes deal, but the Canes way of doing things is to not give up controlled assets for rentals…the only time they did was when Dougie was hurt before the COVID pause. I continue to think the Canes & Ducks are perfect trade partners, but just don’t think this level of a rental is where the Canes go.

Last season, Fleury for Hakanpaa. Same type of deal, UFA for RFA. Lebrun says CAR is interested but price and cap hit might be too high. Bear seems expendable especially when ADA returns.

Yeah, as mentioned, I don’t think this is the level of rental canes can entertain. Seems like we are heading down the path of flipping a 5th or 6th rounder 5 mins before the deadline for a depth guy like Braun or something.

Fleury was done in Carolina, not the same situation.

Bear could very well be done too. He averages the least TOI of the regular 6 D. Has been scratched. May not be at the TDL as he’s could be kept for playoff depth but they might look to deal him in the offseason.

Also Braun is gonna get more than late picks.
