Ducks decline, we'd be looking for other pieces

Studnicka would be very low on our depth chart (arguably not even in the NHL), behind Zegras, McTavish, Lundestrom, Steel, BOG at C and behind Terry, Perreault, Pastujov and arguably Colangelo at RW

Steen is trending towards being a career AHLer, not much value there, and even if he did, he would be even further buried than Studnicka

The Bruins prospect pool matches up terribly with the Ducks needs

Not necessarily disagreeing with your opinions on the trades, but just can’t really understand where you’re coming up with that comment about steen. Doesn’t seem to make any sense.

Already 24, only 22 NHL games, drafted 6 years ago, undersized at 5'9 175

Not seeing much if any upside there

Best case he becomes what a 4th liner? and thats best case

EDIT: realizing I misread his weight but being listed at 187 on NHL . com doesnt change the sentiment

I disagree about steen but I can understand Studnika. I think Steen is a good young player but doesn't fit in the bruins lineup because they aren't looking to develop players right now. They'd rather win now. They'd probably have to throw Debrusk in the deal and then change some things around.

Incorrect, like I said earlier the Bruins typically don't play their prospects because they sign older players. Rarely do they bring younger players in the lineup that's why he has that many NHL games under his belt. He'd be a third liner at the NHL level. Rakell's value shouldn't be too high remember, he isn't having that great of a season.
