Description

BOS isn’t getting any major trade pieces at TDL, can we please stop pretending they’re going to👍,( now I’m going to pretend they do😂😂) I’m guessing the sweeny usual here, to little to late plays out again.

•Guessing JD stays in BOS till after season (I would like to see him moved but not sure it happens, and if he continues his decent play the top line should be ok)

•Sweeny acquires a depth D or two and maybe another bottom 6 forward (cause those are exactly what this team needs)

BOS needs (in no particular order)
•Top 6 RW few options out there but would like to have 1 extra year of term to allow Lysell one more development year and then have room for him for 23-24 season(if JD is moved)
•Top 4 LD Preferably someone in 25yo range, Sanheim/Provnov? Couple options but don’t see any happening really until next offseason at best (would need to move LD out)
•2C beyond Hertl not a lot of options here that are upgrade over Haul ( don’t care what they say, haula been ok could be a lot better with an actual 2C in place)
•Bottom pair RD ( slight upgrade over cliffy, I personally like cliffy game but beyond him we don’t have a lot of options for RD, can see Schenn from VAN or Braun from PHI) just some veteran experience back there is idea here

If I had to pick one major move it would be Hertl, and then get package with Middleton also to help out backend

I personally don’t mind this idea, I like Middleton style, BOS needs big body dman who not afraid to use his body. Love the RFA status and wouldn’t hurt my feeling to see forbort and Reilly go in the off-season and plug in urho and Middleton, possibly zbroil also if he returns next year. So all in all not against sween depth d signing in this one

Although the can’t travel to Canada thing could be a real problem in playoffs ( not really cause what’s chances of TOR making out of the first round???) and what’s chances of a BOS-CGY cup? Hard to judge value here based on that issue alone, along with UFA status after next year shouldn’t be exspensive

I think he gets moved, not for as much as they want though. I think he would like Calgary but not sure about cost issue. I can see someone grabbing him for cheaper veteran option. LA could be option also, if the cost gets reduced a bit. I just personally saw best fit with NYR for little veteran leadership on a younger backend and low cost. Don’t see them resigning him though, just using for playoff run
