Trades
1.
MTL
  1. Vierling, Evan [Reserve List]
  2. 2022 2nd round pick (STL)
  3. 2023 1st round pick (NYR)
Additional Details:
It's been reported that Hughes will only move Lehkonen if it's an overpay and I think that the Rangers are a likely destination. The Chiarot trade showed the MTL is willing to take 2023 1sts so I think that's more likely. It's also obvious that Hughes is targeting prospects that are good/great skaters and Vierling is that [DobberProspects]. The 2rd is added in because of the 4th in the Chiarot trade and as said before, this will have to be an overpay. Plus I think Montreal will be pushing for a 1st, 2nd, asset in a Lehkonen trade so they can flip that 2nd.
NYR
  1. Lehkonen, Artturi
  2. 2022 4th round pick (NYR)
Additional Details:
The 4th is added to even out the trade a bit and because NYR might want it back to get Vatrano for free essentially.
2.
MTL
  1. McBain, Jack [Reserve List]
Additional Details:
It's been rumored that Montreal and Arizona are the front runners for McBain and I think if Montreal can get their hands on an extra 2nd, they'll sign him. Plus Montreal is more likely than Arizona because I don't think McBain would leave college to go play in another college arena.
MIN
  1. 2022 2nd round pick (STL)
3.
MTL
  1. 2022 6th round pick (COL)
Additional Details:
With Perreault no longer requiring waivers I think a contender brings him on for a playoff run for cheap and they just send him down without fear of waivers if it doesn't work out.
4.
MTL
  1. 2022 3rd round pick (CGY)
  2. 2022 6th round pick (BOS)
  3. 2023 3rd round pick (BOS)
Additional Details:
Boston's looking for a LD, if they fall up short on Chychrun and Lindholm I think they look at Kulak. They might be able to get a 2nd, but I think 2 3rds is much more likely and fairer. The 6th is for the retention.
BOS
  1. Kulak, Brett ($925,000 retained)
5.
MTL
  1. 2022 6th round pick (VGK)
  2. 2023 4th round pick (VGK)
Additional Details:
Wideman to Vegas might work as Vegas tries to make the playoffs but without sacrificing the future in case it doesn't work out.

Overpay for Kulak. Bruins don't do that.

seems like every trade is an overpay lately and under MSL, Kulak has been playing great. I think scouts watching the games have seen that and he will go for that.

I have to admit, amazing job.

Instead of just getting picks, I would rather get prospects. I think nils lundqvist from NYR we should target. Colorado had Makar and Barron, and Helleson. They saw that makar as #1, barron as #2, and they wouldn't wanna put helleson on 3rd pair. Therefore they traded him. I think it applies even more by NYR. They have Fox, Trouba, Schneider, and Lundqvist. Where will he fit? That's why I'd switch him for the 1st. More ready to nhl also.

Next 2 are fine, except I think Perreault goes for 7th tbh.

Tahts ALOT for kulak, I realize hughes wants to keep him, but I think a 2nd or a 3rd + 6th would do the trick.

Wideman trade is fine.

Fantastic job.

I think Lundqvist might be saved for a bigger trade by the Rangers. The Rags were in the Giroux sweepstakes but were turned down by Claude. I have to imagine Lundqvist was probably part of that package, plus I think Hughes likes his 1st round pick+prospect packages. Also for kulak those are 2 late 3rds

But if I'm the habs, i want lundqvist part of the deal, or else we move on.
