I don't think DAL accepts. They'd look for cheaper alternatives first.

I'd personally target Shattenkirk over Petry.

I actually think you would be harder pressed to get him out of Anaheim them Petry out of MTL. Petry wants to be traded and MTL wants to facilitate, Anaheim likes Shatty and don't really have any other veterans back there. Other then Fowler they don't have the bodies to give up Shattenkirk

Doesn't matter. I'd be willing to pay for the guy more. He fits our team better from timeline and financial point of view. I'd prefer having a guy on one year deal since Hintz has only one year left next year.

Petry is just too old and expensive to my tastes. He's good, but I'm not a fan of adding another 35 year old or more D-man with lengthy contract.
