1. Kaiden Guhle:
His lack of wow factor and offensive potential are quickly erased by the fact that him becoming a steady top 4 Dman is almost a sure thing. The intagibles are also a big reason of his top spot. It seems like any coaches, teammates and journalists who interact with him is impressed by how much his leadership is high at a young age. He's just so tough, mean, well positioned and active he just can't miss.

2. Sean Farrell:
I put him this high because he's the only prospect in the entire pool who has a legitimate chance of becoming a dominant top6 foward. He thinks quick, his abilities to create plays are off the charts and his skills level is impressive. The size will always be an obstacle but he's smart enough to figure how to bypass it.

3. Justin Barron:
Kind of like Guhle, I think this guy is a sure thing. It's too soon to tell if it will be top4 but a 3rd pair/2pp is pretty much a lock. The offensive upsides are stronger than Guhle's but he doesn't have the mean and physical play to be an impactful top4 defenseman if the offense never translate.

4. Logan Mailloux:
Typical boom or bust prospect IMO. Checks all the boxes in term of attributes (heavy shot, physicality, mobility etc) but his decision making and understanding of the game needs A LOT of work. He would be higher if he was smarter on the ice but he relies too much on his skills. Might work in the OHL but a possible major problem for his professionnal career.

5. Cayden Primeau:
The hype for Primeau has faded this year because of how bad his short stints with the team were. I personnally don't give too much importance to this because of how bad the team in front of him played. He is still very young for a goaltender and currently putting up impressive numbers in the AHL with his confience back. He's still a potential #1 goaltender and it's why I still rank him very high.

6. Jordan Harris:
He just have all the tools to succed in the NHL. Might just be on a 3rd pair but he's exactly in the mold of the new type of defensman. I don't think he will ever put up good numbers but his transition game is so good that he will contribute to the offense in all sorts of ways. His positioning and stick control are also very good so I dont think it will be hard for him to defend well in the nhl. His light frame and lack of toughness might be the only reasons he could fail to have an impact but Im not too concerned about that.

7. Joshua Roy:
I think he's our most intriguing prospect. He was the 1st overall pick of the 2019 LHJMQ draft, he just did not work hard enough after that and had put on too much weight. Since he took care of those problems he's just crushing it. I think he would have been a much higher nhl pick if he understood he needed to work very hard sooner. His defensive game and 1v1 still needs a lot of work but they are improving quickly this year. He's got a great shot and a quick release but he needs to utilize it more often. He's very creative and skilled. I think he's the only other player in the system with a real shot at a top6 role even if its a long one

8. Jesse Ylonen:
I think his time in the AHL has come to an end. He may never be much more than a bottom 6 winger but his shot and defensive awareness are already good and his speed is elite. I think he could be our next lehkonen type of swiss knife player. He's not the grinder lehkonen was but he also have more offensive upside than him.

9. Jan Mysak:
He's got the IQ to be an effective centerman and I think he's going to be for sure an NHLer at some point. Because of his anticipation, puck recuperation, scoring ability and the fact he creates a lot of turnovers, he's less of a question mark than others.

10. Emil Heineman:
I hesitated between a couple of guys here, I went with Heineman because like Ylonen, Heineman could be the next swiss knife type of player. He's fast, physical and his defensive game is good. The lack of offense will probably prevent him of a top6 role but he's got a package of skills/size that is rare in our foward pool.
