I agree, 11 years of no playoffs is gross.

11 years of no playoffs is gross, but the term and $ on these aging FA’s likely pushes our playoff drought to 15-20 years… can’t resign the young talent (Thompson, Cozens, Samuelson, and eventually Quinn, Power, Peterka) and we are stuck in no man’s land picking 10-13 every year. If the sabres make moves like this I’ll be very sad. I’m not saying we can’t make moves to get better, but either less term, younger guys, or less total moves (hopefully all 3). Also Peterka is a PPG player in the AHL why block him from making the jump? Why scratch Mitts/Girgensons, if you wanna trade those guys fine but don’t put them in the press box…

Im not a big fan of Klingberg but interested to see what Dahlin Klingberg could be. Not a 8.5 x 7 gamble interested, but i will always wonder what could have been

Kind of a Brian Campbell to blackhawks moment, precup. Kind of needed but also needs to be done right to not effect the future cap. Obviously would do anything to be in the cup conversation, but also don’t want to mess up the dynasty attempt before it even starts. This team has some big things ahead of it, hopefully the cap doesn’t come into play anytime soon.
