i don't see toronto accepting that. Knies seems to be very highly valued to them.

I also think van wasted their best opportunity of bring in a haul or a top tier prospect. Miller is now a UFA starting next season and if he doesn't agree to a contract extension then he becomes almost a guaranteed rental and though he is very skilled he will still only get a rental return probably not a whole lot more then what giroux got.

Miller is now a rental, and Schenn isn’t needed.

I don’t think Toronto was ever going to give up Liljegren or Knies for Miller.

And especially now that Liljegren’s play has been amazing lately, and Knies looks even more promising.
