WSH
  1. Zacha, Pavel [RFA Rights]
  2. 2022 4th round pick (NJD)
NJD
  1. Samsonov, Ilya [RFA Rights]
Additional Details:
Here's the Samsonov-Zacha trade that both WSH fans and NJD fans seem to like.
2.
WSH
  1. 2023 6th round pick (BUF)
BUF
  1. Jonsson-Fjällby, Axel
Additional Details:
I don't think AJF cracks the roster next year or clears waivers so since Buffalo had earlier interest in him, I'm shipping him there for just a sixth
3.
WSH
  1. 2023 7th round pick (SEA)
SEA
  1. Nardella, Bobby
Additional Details:
I felt bad about sticking Nardella in the minors so I'm shipping him to Seattle. They just traded away half their team at the deadline lol so there's probably space for him as a 3rd pair/7th D there
4.
WSH
  1. Worge Kreü, William [Reserve List]
BUF
  1. Krebs, Dru [Reserve List]
Additional Details:
Krebs brothers reunited in Buffalo!
5.
WSH
  1. 2023 7th round pick (EDM)
EDM
  1. Fucale, Zachary
Additional Details:
Edmonton always seems to need goalies. This way, Stevenson and Gibson can split playing time in Hershey.
6.
WSH
  1. Makarov, Nikolai [Reserve List]
  2. 2022 4th round pick (TOR)
CBJ
  1. Eller, Lars
Additional Details:
Clearing out Eller to give McNugget more playing time and a real third line center role. Eller can be important for the Blue Jackets at a third line center role if they want to be competitive next year.
7.
WSH
  1. Gawanke, Leon [RFA Rights]
  2. Malott, Jeff [RFA Rights]
WPG
  1. van Riemsdyk, Trevor
  2. 2023 7th round pick (WSH)
Additional Details:
Gawanke seems equivalent to a third round pick so this value seems fair. The Jets pick up a better defender to stay competitive next year, a defender who has prior chemistry with Dillon, while the Caps get younger. Malott is straight up for the 7th and only really as an AHL roster spot.

Is the top-4 worth keeping together though?

Idk, I think it's a good top four but I may be in the minority opinion lol. I like the Orlov-Jensen line, and while Carlson has some defensive liabilities, he's still great offensively, and Fehervary plays really well with him.

I guess it could also be mixed up in this armchair GM to have Orlov play with Gawanke and AlexAlex with Jensen.

Jets Decline
don’t need TVR…unless we move out DeMelo first… then maybe, but unlikely.

Sounds good lol. I know literally nothing about the Caps, I was trying to put a 22-23 team together last night and gave up because I have no idea where they're at. But it does feel like they're spinning their tires no? Three consecutive 1st round exits with another likely on the way. Whether or not a big change on D is what pulls them out idk, but it feels like they're in a tough spot atm
