Description

This is just a what if scenario of if the Canes never made the trade to acquire Hamilton. Don’t take the contracts too seriously as they might not end up going that way. In this scenario, Rod Brind’amour is brought in as head coach the year the trade would have happened. There is also other smaller trades I didn’t list as they were mainly minor moves involving prospects and picks. Assuming the players proceed on the same progression as they have up to this season, would the Canes be better or worse than they are now?

Obviously, free agent signings would be different, will Vatanen likely being replaced with Cole or somebody of the same regards.
