Description
Everyone that is a UFA/RFA at the end of 2022 is signed for one more year than it says so Norris deal is acc 3 years the way CF handles this is weird and I wanted to plan out when contracts are ending so I just decreased all those contracts by one year. I think we can afford this core long term with a bridge deal to Norris the same length as Giroux. Also Whites cap hit is acc less if we buy him out a year before so there should be more cap space than is shown here. With Murray coming off the books we have plenty of cap space to give Greig and Sanderson extensions.
I guess the biggest question is what does an internal cap look like under new ownership?

Let me know if any of these contracts are unreasonable.

Yes we can . Cap issues shouldn’t be there till Sanderson needs a contract. And we could probably bridge him to make it work

too much for Stu, not enough for Norris and Murray will most likely be gone this off season seeing a Gus has a one way deal next year, also possible Zub gets moved, IF the **** Smith actually plays Thompson and JBD and they play good, Zub will be traded, Branny is most certainly getting traded this offseason

Why would they trade Zub that will set the team back and neither JBD or Thomson have top pair potential so who would replace him on the right side?

The Norris deal is more than fair for a bridge deal. Stutzle we will have to see but I think he’s gonna have a breakout year next year he’s been so good the last 20 games. I think PD keeps Branny around just so he doesn’t have to admit his L on the Stone trade and he’s been really good with Chabot gone it wouldn’t make sense to trade him when his value is so low he still has potential just needs to be more consistent.

One of the easiest salary cap to manage. The only thing that needs to happen is the GM to not give up bad contracts and the team to be ready to spend

Don't forget the salary cap will start rising again
