Trades
1.
SEA
  1. Kassian, Zack
  2. 2023 2nd round pick (EDM)
Additional Details:
Trade value is not exact here. Picks could be added either way, it depends on how Edmonton views Grubauer
EDM
  1. Grubauer, Philipp
  2. Soucy, Carson ($1,375,000 retained)
  3. 2023 5th round pick (SEA)
Additional Details:
Grubauer is a talented goaltender, however this contract was a rough one from the start and already looks really bad. Edmonton here dumps a bad contract of their own (with less term) and gets a very solid #4 d man for only 1.375 mil. Edmonton gets a guy who they hope can be a bonafide starter.
2.
SEA
  1. Brännström, Erik [RFA Rights]
Additional Details:
Brannstrom is a very talented defenceman who just won’t ever really get the opportunity in Ottawa, especially considering they’ve resigned/acquired multiple veteran d men they plan on playing full time, as well as Sanderson.
OTT
  1. 2022 2nd round pick (NSH)
Additional Details:
Value is comparable to that of the Jake Bean Trade last summer
3.
SEA
  1. Kravtsov, Vitali [RFA Rights]
  2. Nemeth, Patrik
  3. 2023 2nd round pick (NYR)
Additional Details:
Take on cap dump in Nemeth + give up a solid bottom 6er who’s struggled this year but at a cheap cap hit
NYR
  1. Donskoi, Joonas ($1,950,000 retained)
  2. 2023 4th round pick (SEA)
  3. 2023 6th round pick (WSH)
4.
SEA
  1. 2023 3rd round pick (DET)
DET
  1. Fleury, Haydn [RFA Rights]
  2. Kuhlman, Karson [RFA Rights]
  3. 2022 6th round pick (SEA)
5.
SEA
  1. Mrázek, Petr
  2. 2022 1st round pick (TOR)
Additional Details:
Toronto moves back about 5 or so picks in the earlier parts of the draft. Seattle takes on a cap dump and moves up a bit in the draft for value
TOR
  1. Twarynski, Carsen [RFA Rights]
  2. 2022 2nd round pick (SEA)
  3. 2022 5th round pick (SEA)
6.
SEA
Not all of the trades are exact values, just ideas that can be slightly messed around with if needed
    ARI
Note: if Duncan Keith isn’t retiring, he can be incorporated into the Edmonton deal if he wants to leave to save cap for Edmonton

I’d do the Branny trade, change of scenery would do him well and a 2nd is likely what Ottawa would be looking for in a return.

Was thinking about that with mrazek. If we trade back to involve him

Detroit declines, not players we have a use for.

As a Leafs fan I think that makes a lot of sense. Don’t lose any actual asset, just get a slightly worse pick and with Dubas and his scouting team that’s perfectly fine. The difference in picks is roughly worth what I imagine it would cost to dump Mrazek so it makes sense value wise for both sides

Fleury would be a solid 3LD on pretty much any team, and Khulman should develop into a fine 4th liner. Honestly, can go to any team so it really doesn’t matter
