those trades either suck or would never happen. no ones taking on myers contract unless you give them picks as well

so no one would give a third for schenn, but a team would give a third for hamonic
you aren't the sharpest tool in the shed
and obviously not every trade on this site is gonna happen

you do realize the hamonic trade was pure stupidity

regardless, the trades i was talking about were the myers trade. no one ever would give up assets to take on a terrible contract. then schenn trade is a little of an overpayment but not as bad

even if that trade was stupid it still happened, so who's to say that no team would trade for myers

Just going to focus on the first trade...

I feel like Columbus would put some thought into it, but the question there needs to be "Is it easier to fix the whole at C or RD?". Like, JT Miller is excellent...Definitely won't argue with you there. But, the opportunity to pick Nemec, and then package their other pick to make a move there might make more sense. I mean, if I'm Columbus, I'm probably taking a long, hard look at overpaying a guy like Kadri, and hoping that he bridges the gap to Sillinger.

It's not a bad idea, I just don't think I'd do it.

The rest of 'em?
-I don't know how I'd feel about moving a 2nd for Pearson. I guess if it was late it wouldn't be the worst idea. I'd probably shop the UFA market first though.
-I *think* if you expect anything back from Myers, you're retaining $1.5 ish mil. Otherwise, I can't see anyone jumping at taking that contract on for free.
-I see no issue finding someone to give up a 3rd for Schenn.
-Probably looking at a pick over a prospect like Korczak from Vegas, but they're crazy people so who knows.
-Poolman is a dump, IMO. Gotta pay to dump. Lots of similar not-so-great contracts out there, or, you can find the same guy for cheaper as a UFA.
-Arizona confidently says "no take-backs on the original deal!" tears of joy
