        Defense is so much better. However, the center position is weaker than it was before.. Cap is probably gonna be 75 mill.. so I'd sign Joe Thornton for a year. Gotta figure a way to make the $ work

        A 2nd won't get you Drouin, and he won't take 3/2.25 it'd be like $5m at the least with his last season.

        agreed it would take more than a second round pick.. i would also up it to 5m-6m on a 6/7 year deal because the next bridge may cost more than that with just 2-3 years

        what precedent is there for giving a player stupid money after a slightly above average season (ill give you a hint the answer rhymes with Nero)
