    If the Flyers are trading for Howard than MacDonald has to be going the other way.

    Yeah, in a perfect world he's not on this roster, but we all know he'll end up playing. And his contract isn't killing the team yet. It hurts but he's not blocking any kind of extension for an actual player we care about yet.

    He's not who he use to be, but Howard did have a decent season last year (as the backup). And he is a good stop gap for two years until the goalie prospects are ready. At the very least, I trust he can play 50-60 games to lessen the load for Stolarz in his rookie season (not to mention mentor him a little). I'm sure Detroit wouldn't mind getting rid of him since they are committed to Mrazek.

    I like this a lot, especially if we plan to have Stolarz up. I think we would plan to have Stolarz up, but since he got hurt it will be interesting to see. The term for Ghost is a little long, i think its 4 years at that price but we'll see.
