Assuming Keith and Smith don’t retire. For the record I think both will or should but we will see. Kassian could be any team gonna have to retain a bit tho. Barrie would be a decent fit in Seattle especially since they have cap and lots of picks. JP I don’t want to move but was pointed out to me that Oilers will have to pay him 3+ in order to avoid an offer sheet and not sure the Oilers do that. But I think he’s gonna be a great player, also think his agent may request a trade. Kane contract can’t be higher then 5. Try not to rock the boat and run it back as much as possible personally probably keep Jp and use the extra money to go after Kuemper or Husso make more sense. Johan’s son is cause we have to get back at Minnesota for absolutely fleecing us. Anyways let me know your thoughts. Also letting the bottom d pairing fight it out with Koekook and Russel vs broberg and Markus. Love to have kulak but can’t afford him unless Keith or smith retires. Pick up chucky see if can reignite his career

I could see Kassian returning something like a 5th or 6th with that retention, but it's probably wiser to assume he'd be moved for future considerations, at best. Aside from that, I don't see NYR being interested in Puljujarvi and I also don't see Georgiev as being a sufficient return for him (Gauthier is worth nothing). Overall, that roster is deeply flawed and would likely see the team return to 2017-19 levels of futility.

Yes, Seattle could use a puck-moving defenseman, but Barrie's playing style is not a fit for Seattle (at 4.5 million/season, especially) and adding him would only be a serious option much later in the off-season, IMO. Francis has made draft picks priority one, to build this team through the draft. To improve his roster Seattle DOES have ample cap space to do so. This is Plan A. Pass on Barrie.

You dont have to pay McLeod that much, especially if only signing for 2yrs. Dude is a RFA and doesnt have arb rights. He'll more likely come in at 3x1mill

No chance Seattle pays to take Barrie. Canes aren’t paying a third for Kassian, and have no need for Kassian either. Doubt the Rags can even afford JP
