Dont gut the system

i am probably the biggest dylan strome fan of anyone on this website. why are we acquiring him to play a position he’s not good at? but i agree, pulju imo should be their number one target, either via offersheet or trade.

I got strome bc hes such a good passer and with lee and nelson on the line we need someone to create. The reason i didnt just keep beau there is bc i love the idea of beau and wahly playing together. Beau and jgp would also be awesome together as theyre both great at pretty much everything and theyd really be able to set wahly up with space. Theyre also elite forcheckers and putting them together would be a nightmare for opposing d. If you have any suggestions of other players at that cap range/acquisition cost and skill level/style instead of strome id love to hear it. I just havent found any others off the top of my head.

dont think habs will entertain moving edmundson this year, we need at least a few veteran on our back end and he will play top pair minutes. also dont think they would retain half, not for that return anyway.

maybe in order to make strome work nelson could play RW? but strome’s been tried on the wing a ton before and he’s just never been effective. i also think you could prob get him for less than this since rumor is he’s not getting qualified.

Idk id rather keep nelson at C and try to pivk up someone else then. Not worth it to start paying around with nelsons positioning to accomodate strome.
