Why are Smith and Keith just sitting on LTIR, from what I know they aren't injured at the current moment so that doesn't work.. If you really want the cap space from them you either trade them (which nobody would really want) or you buy them out.. and buying them out is really the only option. You can't just put old high cap players on LTIR not how it works.

Gee, why would Carolina and Dallas make those trades. Necas is as good as PJ, and Haanapaa is a needed RHD for Dallas.

Even with Necas down year I'd rather have him over Pulj, not to mention having to add on our side. No thanks.

that is just me guessing they both retire, if u retire the contract gets terminated so that's why I put them in LTIR so the money doesn't go towards the cap
