What is in it for Arizona? They have been taking cap dumps at a premium cost... If they were to take this trade it would be bad for business.

Not gonna get much for 2M in retention but they’d probably get an additional conditional pick for Gardiner when traded from AZ.

and the coyotes could get a bit more if they have another team for double retention, having gardiner at $1,012,500 which isnt bad at all
