Description
Isles fan come in peace...

I don't think the Rangers will make any major changes. They have salary cap issues as well. I think they let Stome (well cost too much), Georgiev (even if they wanted to sign him, he's not re-signing with Igor here) walk. They won't be able to re-sign guys like Vatrano, Motte as well.
They will need a Center and I think Copp had some good chemistry with Panarin, so I think they resign him. With letting Georgiev leave, I think Marin Jones is a good experienced Goalie to back up Igor. In order to get some of these signing, they will need to move Nemith to Arizona but with 2 yrs at 2.5M it will cost unfortunately either a 2nd rounder or a good younster. I also think the Rangers smooth things over with Kravtsov and he finally gets into the lineup. Good news I think is you re-sign and get back Blais who was playing great until his injury.

Rangers because of cap issues will probably need to go into next year with a young 3rd pair Defensive core with Schneider and Zack Jones.

For depth, you bring back on league min Kevin Rooney who can play all 3 spots and on depth for the back end you bring back Justin Braun.

Additional Details:
I think for 2 years @ 2.5M you will need to give up a good pick. Nemeth is horrible...Unless you wanted to give up a youngster to Arizona.
Unless you are willing to trade a young Dman in your system instead of pick.

We can definitely get Motte for 1.5ish for 3-4 years. Vatrano will be 3ish for 3-4 years. I'd rather spend Copps money on Trocheck. Fine with the D, and can get a backup goalie for way cheaper.

I almost hope Kakko gets offersheeted and leaves. They don’t seem to trust him or something, but he’s not going to keep developing here. That much is true. Seeing him on Detroit or Anaheim would be cool. Or anywhere where he’d get a better spot in the lineup instead of relegated to the 4th line or scratched. Strome was useless and injured and still played over him. It makes no sense. In the right spot I think the kid will blossom. He’s already defensively responsible and is strong on the puck. I hope the move comes back to haunt them.

If he gets offer sheeted and the Comp is a 2nd...they will match. If Comp is a 1st and 3rd they will consider- keep in mind these picks would be in 2023. And a team with a good chance of being in the lottery (like the ones you mention to be a good fit for him) would possibly be foregoing a shot at 2023 1OA- who projects not as a good- but generational player.

And don't agree with your take on his developing here. If that Kid line is kept together they compliment each other real well. They will all develop together on 3rd line- which will be ready for 2nd line matchups once Chytl can learn to win faceoffs...maybe part of his summer regimen??

Doesn’t matter when they’re only played 12-13 minutes a night. Panarin was absolutely terrible this playoffs save for the OT winner. I hope he was playing hurt otherwise he’s fallen off. Kreider and Mika did nothing after games 1 and 2. Strome was playing and he couldn’t do a damn thing out there.

I think collectively the team was just exhausted...between the # of playoff games they played on a compressed schedule and their style of play- which involves so much exhausting effort due to playing in their own end. Don't think Panarin has fallen- but do think he needs to adjust his game to be able to make a little more space for himself. As far as Kreider- maybe he was hurt? Didn't seem to play with the same conviction as the series grinded on. Strome was walking wounded. Going forward, if they can improve at the faceoff dot and incorporate Nils and/or Z. Jones then maybe they can get better at going right to offense and more efficiently gaining puck possession to clear the D zone...both of these improvements would put a limit to the duress which this team seems to consistently play under- which leads to unnecessary fatigue, injury, etc. Beyond that- just let the young guys continue to grow!
