Description
Still part with Dzingel anyway, that was a panic buy.
Still make the Jones trade, and maybe the excuse of him not wanting to stay could've been the "we don't have enough cap room" sell excuse

However that defense is still struggling for defense

1.
CBJ
would not have room for voracek, still part ways with atkinson over someone like Bjorkstrand. Would've stung even more
    2.
    CBJ
Would not have made Nyquist signing,

Panarin stays on the rumored 12x8 he declined
      3.
      CBJ
Probably would've had to give Duchene a bit more money to make up for his brainwash to country music

Would not have ended up that low for Kent
        4.
        CBJ
Ottawa would get the 1st after Duchene re-signed

Also not saying Kent would've gone to Nashville, just involved that for Duchene

I think I like the team's current potential much more than this timeline. I imagine they would not have dealt Foligno and Savard at the TDL either which also means no Ceulemans too and maybe the 2nd gets dropped since they don't have a late first to send with Jones in that deal so that could mean no Bean. No Johnson probably means Blankenburg decides to sign elsewhere as well. RFA signings look like a nightmare in the next couple years after this with Sillinger, Marchenko, Texier and Peeke needing new deals and at that point you probably have to let Gavrikov walk.

yeah, although losing Panarin sucked, I think if he would've accepted that panic offer that would have been worse. But it at least it showed Jarmo still cared to try.
I still miss Duchene more anyway. A center, and wanted playoff success, then he finally gets a small bit (yet he had never won a round either) and leaves.

I miss Panarin every time I watch him play. He is the only former player I wish they still had. He's an absolute gamechanger. A rare breed. I don't think I would like to have both him and Laine though. If they could've kept Bread, I don't think PLD leaves, and if he does, he gets traded for something else besides Laine.
