    Rangers fans are all bending over backwards to trade Stepan is a little weird to me. Even if that trade lands Ellis the D needs more work.

    But adding Craig Smith as a contract to eat was part of my package that would entice Nashville. It allows them to protect Jarknok.

    As a Nashville fan i would expect a borderline 1C or a very good 2C back in a Ellis trade. But i don't know which of these players is better (Swiss can only do statwatch). Can someone enlighten me?

    Why would it make the difference in protecting Jarnkrok?

    Protection list is either 8/1: Johansen, Arvidsson, Forsberg, Neal, Ellis, Josi, Ekholm, Subban
    or: Josi, Subban, Ekholm, Johansen, Arvidsson, Forsberg, Neal, Jarnkrok, Wilson, (Sissons, Smith, Watson, etc.)
