Considering Suzuki is younger, cheaper and at this point in their respective careers more durable than Malkin (Malkin has not played a full season out of last 4 and that includes both shortened seasons) at 2 mil less salary. I would stick with Zuke. Also CC and LR are on the same level it's a lateral move therefore does not make the team better.

The Caufield trade gives Montreal an extra pick to move in another deal. Also, this Armchair-GM isn't about making the Habs great long-term, it's just trying to turn them into contenders right now.
