Trades
1.
SEA
  1. DeBrincat, Alex [RFA Rights]
  2. 2023 3rd round pick (CHI)
Additional Details:
*Seattle retained 2.75 mil (2nd retention of 50%) on either Kane or Toews ‘a contract in a 3 way deal to maximize the return Chicago gets for them

Also take on Brett Connolly’s contract

Basically taking on 6ish mil for 1 year to help Chicago maximize return for Kane or Toews and also gives them the 3.5 mil relief from Connolly so that Chicago can use the cap to take on a different cap dump for assets potentially

Seattle gets this 3rd round pick if their own 2023 3rd becomes a 1st
CHI
  1. Fleury, Haydn [RFA Rights]
  2. Fleury, Cale [RFA Rights]
  3. 2022 1st round pick (SEA)
  4. 2022 2nd round pick (NSH)
  5. 2023 3rd round pick (SEA)
Additional Details:
*done at 2022 NHL draft

4th overall, ~6 mil taken on for one year, 2 young d men who can be bottom pair guys if all works out (Cale is less likely but Haydn would definitely be a solid 3rd pair guy), and a middle 2nd and conditional 3rd. Taking on the 6M for 1 year is worth a late 1st itself

The 2023 3rd becomes a 2023 1st if Debrincat scores 40 goals and Seattle makes the playoffs
2.
SEA
  1. Kassian, Zack
  2. Puljujärvi, Jesse [RFA Rights]
Additional Details:
Take on cap dump, buy low on Pulju
EDM
  1. Donato, Ryan [RFA Rights]
  2. 2022 4th round pick (WSH)
Additional Details:
Young forward for cheap, lower potential than Pulju but had not too far behind production + this move saves a lot of cap for Edmonton. Plus HoLLand is dumb
3.
SEA
STL
  1. Schwartz, Jaden
Additional Details:
Get out of this contract. To whatever team for whatever asset

Also will note that all pending UFAs next deadline are traded for picks and/prospects
4.
SEA
  1. Dermott, Travis [RFA Rights]
  2. Lammikko, Juho [RFA Rights]
Additional Details:
+ some picks and/or prospects

I like the creativity in the thought process but its just not what CHI would be looking to achieve and not enticing enough for us to part with Cat.

I also doubt Cat would want to extend in SEA, I could be wrong but they are probably as far if not further from competing than the Hawks.
