I think McDonagh definitely makes Nashville better. But that's a lot of money spent on 3 LHD.

This is definitely a win-win deal to me. The obvious is the improvement on the d line for Nashville.

Ekholm or mcdonagh has to move to their weak side in my opinion. My question is Poile done with trades because I see this trade as a move on the wanting to contend direction so going after a forward that helps our top 6 could be the move here. Sign forsberg and go after a top 6 forward via trade or signing has to be the play

Well, the whole deal is obvious. The immediate cap savings for Tampa plus the buyout option on Myers giving them a credit if they choose to do so. I'm not sure what you are asking though.. What does "opposite happened" mean? The opposite would be the trade not happenning at all... Are you asking for thoughts on the trade not happening? And with your comment, are you saying my thoughts on the trade are too obvious? I don't know what else to say... It makes sense for both sides. But I also feel like Tampa could have gotten something more valuable out of trading McDonagh. I'm trying to contribute to the conversation here, but your post is vague.

I can’t post it the way it happened Capfriendly already updated. Had to reverse the trade to post. The casuals would clearly say that the Preds win the trade and it is not close. The hard core fans know about the cap situations around the league
