    No need to sign Hunwick when Beregzelov, Pionk and Graves can have a 3 way fight for the 7th D spot. The point of getting Manson would be 100% to be a top 4 dman and DG would get bought out, or put on 3rd pair if not traded.
    With that Hunwick $, with all due respect to Fast he'd get around $4-500K more per year if 3 or 4 years at around $1.65-2M per season.

    NMC Staal contract runs for 2 more years than Pouilet, so you could argue one bad contract for one worse contract.

    Also, it is a basic wash if Pouliot is 4 m and NYR retain 1.7 on Staal, Pouliot becomes in essence 5.7 which is what Staal is.

    I mean you some how manage to unload a #1 center under a decent contract for less than what a Rental D man costs at the deadline. And this team you put together is way worse than the one that lost to ottawa. No where near the C talent top to bottom.
