It's a limited amount of teams I believe Muzzin would waive his full NTC to, almost none of them will have the cap space to take on his contract without retention.

Even with 75% retention, the Kings can't afford him. So you are going to have to think about this realistically, Holl and Kerfoot could be moved, that's where you get your space.

I don't think you have a good feel for Muzzin's value, the King's needs, or why Muzzin wanted a NTC with his last contract.

I would have thought that after we signed Kevin Fiala, thereby eliminating any excess cap space, and signed Alex Edler, who fills the slot of 7th and veteran defenseman, that the zombie Muzzin-to-Los-Angeles trades would die out. I guess that I was wrong.

For the record, and for the third time today: after re-signing Mikey Anderson and Sean Durzi, we will have 14 forwards and 7 defensemen on the roster and less than $0.6 million in cap space. We are further along in setting our 2022-2023 roster than any other team; we could open training camp tomorrow, so it's unlikely that we'll be making any major personnel changes.
