Description
The PLD drama will either lead to a short term deal to stay in Winnipeg or Chevy trades his RFA rights and he signs elsewhere for 2 years. I’m a Habs fan so I am looking at this from our POV, sign him in 2024 with a bigger cap. The Jets should trade his rights NOW and get something back for him.

With Bowness in place a rebuild isn’t a good idea. He isn’t exactly known for developing young guys. I think it’s best to get back veteran players and hope he can get Scheifle to remember his own end of the ice exists.

Should have thought of this when I did a Canucks ACGM. Both players have to agree but it’s a nice swap of needs for each side.

Two years is a long time to make a deal happen. Considering what Seth Jones fetched a year from UFA status I wouldn’t be worried if I was Winnipeg. I think the pressure to deal him is incredibly overstated.

The Jets need DeMelo and have no need for Pearson.

The Avs trade is awful for Winnipeg. Why do people think the Jets would trade Dubois now for a fraction of what he gets at the TDL in two years? There's just no logical sense to it.

Idk. I think we’ve seen in recent years that teams will trade for the chance to resign a player. Dubois is in his mid twenties and you have two years to try and resign him. Seems like the idea is being pushed by fans who want to low ball Winnipeg. Ofc Brisson is doing everything he can to get Dubois dealt and I’m sure saying he wants to be in Montreal will maximize the pressure on Winnipeg to make a deal.

Can’t believe people are still pushing these Montreal low ball offers after the Josh Anderson Bs on draft night. Makes no sense. Chevy isn’t Ron Hextall so let’s just stop with the bull**** lol.
