Description

Players in the taxi squad are all players that could make the opening night roster. I think I put enough in the Meier trade but I’m willing to add Mukhamadullin if needed. And for those saying his qualifying offer is 10 mil, the odds that he gets 10 mil are slim to non. He will negotiate a better long term offer before the devils give him a qualifying offer.

NJD should keep Holtz and Sharangovich.

Why acquire a guy who will have all the leverage in extension talks? He either gets overpaid or becomes a UFA next summer. I do not believe any team offers him a $10 million qualifying offer, so it is essentially a rental and this is far too rich a price for 1-year rental.

Absolutely nowhere near Matthews and Kane money. Also don’t act like he isn’t elite comparing him to konecny, Keller, schmaltz. Meier buchnevich and fiala are all point per game players. The player/contact comps are all overboard. Ppg players come at a cost. Buchnevich is underpaid. Do not compare and very much exaggerate those two categories. I do agree it is risky bc of him accepting his QO and go straight to FA. But if an extension is in place at the trade, you think it could be more fair?

Not that I want to trade him anyway but how is not looking hood?
He's 20 yrs old, had 51 pts in 52 games on his AHL team. He got his look on the Devs who were a tire fire and has done nothing but impressed since then.

Wow we finally didn't rush a players development from his Jr team right up to the majors

The contract comps are just that. Similar term and AAV.

I wouldn’t move Sharangovich straight-up for him. Neither would Fitzgerald or any GM. But adding Holtz is just a kick in the nuts.
